LJ Auto Global & Salvage is a UK salvage hub and marketplace for used car parts. We sell from our own inspected stock and host listings from other UK sellers, so one search covers a lot of ground — and everything can be shipped to you or consolidated for export.

Second hand car parts, inspected before dispatch

Every part sold from our own stock is inspected before it leaves us, and electrical units are bench-tested with a working guarantee. Listings state the condition plainly. If a part is marked for spares or repair, it says so.

Much of our stock comes from breaking salvage vehicles, which is why availability changes daily. If the part you need is not showing, send the part number or your vehicle registration — we will check what is currently being broken and what our supplier network holds.

How to order the right part first time

Nearly every wrong-part return starts the same way: the buyer describes the part by make and model, and the seller sends exactly that. One model year can carry several versions of the same component. Give us one of the following and it stops being a guess:

• The part number — most precise. It is on the part itself: cast into a flat face, printed on a white label, or stamped near a mounting point. Wipe the grease off before deciding it is missing, and photograph it rather than typing it out.
• The engine or gearbox code — for any mechanical unit. Model and year alone will not confirm fitment.
• Your vehicle registration or VIN — resolves to the build specification, which identifies most parts correctly.

What condition are you actually buying?

“Used” covers three different things, and the price difference between them is not arbitrary:

• Used — removed from a donor vehicle and resold after inspection. Cheapest, and right for most panels, lights, trim and many mechanical parts.
• Reconditioned — stripped, cleaned, worn components replaced, rebuilt towards original specification. Normally carries a working guarantee. Worth the premium on hard-working units and on anything being exported, because a failure abroad cannot be resolved by driving back to the seller.
• Spares or repair — sold as faulty, incomplete or untested. Only worth buying if you want one component off it or you can repair it. Ask exactly what is wrong and what is missing.
